    Description

    I have for sale the official medal for the 1933-34 Century of Progress Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois.  The medal is bronze, it is 2 1/4 inches in diameter and in a high grade circulated condition with a few spots.  The obverse shows a full male figure, nude except for flowing loincloth, with outspread arms and legs on top of and astride pillars.  On the obverse it reads RESEARCH - INDUSTRY and on the pillars it has the years 1833 & 1933.  On the reverse the center scene shows a relief map of the exposition grounds and lake.  At the rim it reads 1933 A CENTURY OF PROGRESS INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION CHICAGO.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables.  (18,173)
