    Description

Presented is a 50-star American flag, printed on paper. The flag was made in Western Germany and was created as a flag waver, for a small parade or celebration. The flag is attached to a small wooden stick.
Hawaii was admitted as the 50th state on August 21st, 1959. The 50 star flag of the United States became the official flag on July 4th, 1960. An Executive Order of President Eisenhower dated August 21, 1959 provided for the arrangement of the stars in nine rows of stars staggered horizontally and eleven rows of stars staggered vertically. This is the current flag of the United States. Nine presidents have served under this flag.
