    This is a fabulous Old Ceremonial Hat of a High Level Member of the ‘Bwami’ Society of the Lega (also called Rega or Warega), in Eastern Congo. The hat consists of tight wickerwork made of plant fibers. The conical hat points upwards and is decorated with the old buttons around the bottom as well is the the chinstrap. A rare and beautiful example of a ritual hat of the Lega and the perfect addition to your collection or home.
