Antique 1890s Inspection Tool Works Railroad Track gang Gauge 60.5" iron

Description

Antique 1890  Tool Works Railroad Track Gauge  60 1/2 Inches.
Hard to find track gauge. Working distance of 56 and 3/4 in. Total length of 60 in and a half.  Weighs about 10 lb. Overall very good condition. Most of these are probably melted down for ww1.
Seems to be labeled with either an M or W.  And 1589.  Thanks for looking
