    This is an antique Yoruba tribally made and used hand forged iron small metal gong which was used as trade currency which was collected from Nigeria, Africa. This Yoruba currency gong is very, very old and measures 4.84 inches long by 2.25 inches wide. Good to fair antique tribally made and used condition with a very rusty patina and the metal being a bit deteriorated with some missing metal. The smaller gong has a lot of caked dirt inside. This gong does not have a striker and was meant to be hit with a wooden stick or just used as currency. This specimen is very intriguing and highly desirable and would make a fine addition to any African currency collector's treasure trove.
