Clydesdale
Originating in the Lanarkshire district (previously Clydesdale) of Scotland, the Clydesdale is a heavy draft horse that was bred for farming and coal mining.
Thought it still serves an important role on farms in some areas of Europe, this gentle giant is most recognizable today as a show and parade horse.
Breyer’s 2008 Beautiful Breeds ornament is an authentic replica of a Clydesdale horse cast in fine bisque porcelain and hand painted as a bay with red and green ribbons in its mane and tail.
The ornament is packaged in a form fitting styrofoam insert to protect it inside the box. The box was opened only for photos and inspection.
