The drawing number AB7031 indicates that it was an Air Board design,
G692 N87 is the batch number, number 87 in the batch of 100.
9 Bolt hub, Very Rare.
This propeller antique hub is made of Mahogany and the design was used on the first World War De Havilland DH.9 bomber aircraft. The Airco DH9 used the Siddeley Puma inline 200 HP engine. The propeller was manufactured by the Bristol and Colonial Aeroplane Company in Bristol, England, which was established in 1910.
The DH9 was first flown in 1916, It was used during the end of WW1.
This is a very nice piece of history being 100 plus years old. There are only four known survivors of the DH9 type aircraft worldwide, **** Notice the hub bolt circle has 9 bolts****.
