    Description

Illinois State Fair Banners, Custom Made from 1970's
These Flags have been in our warehouse for many years.
They were used as decoration for the Illinois State Fair in the early 1970's.  They were custom made in our warehouse for this purpose.
The flags are made from nylon material and the verbiage and artwork is printed from silk screen ink.
The side edges of the banners have been hemmed to prevent fraying.  The top of the banner is the finished factory edge of the fabric.
Some banners have small holes or small tears from use.
The banners measure 43 inches tall by 46 inches wide, approximately.
The banners are wrinkled from use and years of storage in our warehouse.
    History of our former company
We have a huge inventory of vintage cotton flags, red/white/blue banners and custom made banners from Old Glory Decorators, Inc. in Indiana.
Old Glory Decorators was responsible for decorating many cities and towns for milestone celebrations in the 1940’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s across a broad area of the United States.
Communities celebrating centennials, sesquicentennials and annual festivals were among their clientele.
Old Glory Decorators was also responsible for decorating the Indiana and Illinois State Fairs for many years and for decorating the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the 1950’s.
Although, we don’t have a complete inventory of all the products used over the years, we do have a large number of historic memorabilia in very good condition.
We will also be auctioning these items for many weeks to come and offering some “buy it now” options for multiple quantities of the same item.
