Museum Quality Baule Figure - Côte d'Ivoire - Early 20th Century
Old and antique wooden figure from the Baule tribe of Africa.  Expertly carved from one piece of wood, with much original black paint remaining. Base is fragmented, but stable.  Previous owner had a custom black painted steel base created, which works very well.  Professionally drilled with square hole for fitting on stand.  I have taken photographs indoors and outdoors, attempting to show the wear and patina.
Please examine photos carefully for condition.
Purchased at auction years ago, was in a group of very good tribal art.  Part of my personal collection I am selling to downsize. An old and classic piece of ethnographic art!
